SHORT STORY CRAZY GLUE 1997

Synopsis

In this film there are not many scenes but all scenes have a secret message that the writer trying to deliver and leaved a big impact. As the first scene which takes place at the living room the wife bought the crazy glue to glue something at their house. Nevertheless, the husband think that the crazy glue has nothing function at the house. They start bickering as they talked about the crazy glue and the wife is not the mood to give her husband a proper goodbye for work.

At the workplaces the husband seems to call for someone and say that his wife already to know what his into or I can assume that the husband is having an affair. When he gets home the phone is ringing but he failed to picked up as it being glue and he find out that mostly things at his house were already glued with the crazy glue. Then he hears someone is laugh but he trying figure where the laugh is come from.

When he looks up, he finds out that his wife was laughing with upside down position. He stacks up books to bring down and says that he will not go anywhere his wife but suddenly he finds out that his wife was charming and beautiful so he starts to kiss his wife passionately and their lips were stuck to each other and he start to hanging to his wife lips.

FILM REVIEW

Crazy glue was an animated puppet short film that adapted from a story by Israeli in 1998. It it interesting film because the characters probably made from clay and they didn’t use many characters in the film. So basically we can more focus on the film.  The classic music and art that they use was endearing.

In 2011  Raella Rothman remake this movie but they improve it. The latest movie they use real people instead of puppet and the quality of film is more realistic. However in this film they didn’t use any voice but just the movement of body language. This movie has make many remake on their style but the point is the crazy glue.

At the begging of the film a spouse that get through the daily life. But the wife eventually bought the crazy glue by thought that their marriage will always have a happy moment as a spouse. In easy word a happy marriage life that start to cracked slowly and doesn’t have any compromises. Even so they trying to fix the problems by force without having any discussion on what problems are they having.

So what can I conclude is the wife is trying to fix everything using the super glue so that wan problem can be fix and there’s nothing can disturb it. Since the super glue work fast by attach or combine that anything is broke or cracked.

The theme in this film is about a wife that has outstanding solutions to fix problem by using a crazy glue. Moreover, it has the dramatic structure in the middle of the film rising action, climax, and falling action. At the beginning of the film a spouse that get through the daily life. But the wife eventually bought the crazy glue by thought that their marriage will always have a happy moment as a spouse. In easy word a happy marriage life that start to cracked slowly and doesn’t have any compromises. Even so they trying to fix the problems by force without having any discussion on what problems are they having.

        In this film the semiotic analysis has been using so there are hidden metaphors, and symbolism. For the symbols it is absolutely the crazy glue because the wife say every problem can be fixed. If we look throughly the wife has already mention the metaphors which is the glue that can fixed everything that has a deep meaning. 

        Dramatic aspects of film is must to leave a strong impression to viewers. The actors portraying characters through dialogue, costumes, and makeup. The characters probably made from clay and they didn’t use many characters in the film. So basically we can more focus on the film. Explain about the choice pf colours, images and symbolism

    On this poster it uses colours that seems to minimalist since it is not too bright and strong but it has the soft minimalism. Usually the colours of minimalist is more to shade of white but no it’s not. The brown and wood tones can see in the poster and it usually represents of minimalist. Soft minimalism was spaces that comfortable and we usually use and it can represent living room since this film captures most of the scene at the living room. 

    The images that I can see in this poster was the wife that look deeply into the wedding pictures. The expression was kind of confused, and uneasy. The symbolism of this film was the statement of “Strength Between Two” what can I come up was if they’re stick together the can become strong and overcome any problems together by the strength of the bond of love. However, to more strengthen their bond she ended up gluing everything.
